Session Description
This session examines how the IFC Performance Standards can be applied throughout the lifecycle of marine dredging and reclamation projects, from planning and design to construction, operation, and monitoring. It presents a practical approach for linking typical dredging impact pathways—such as sediment plumes, turbidity, habitat disturbance, and land-use changes—to the requirements of PS1–PS8, including environmental and social assessment, labor and working conditions, pollution prevention, community health and safety, land acquisition and resettlement, biodiversity conservation, Indigenous Peoples, and cultural heritage.
