Session Description
Panel discussion by coordinators in Mushkegowuk Council department of lands and resources that all work in conservation and impact assessment and regional assessment, including Arts and cultural perspectives, discussing their positions on regional conservation and biodiversity work. Different projects, programs and initiatives that focus on historical events that are informing the strategies for indigenous communities in our territories. Arts and language, impact assessment and public education, regional assessment and politics, historical relationships, language preservation and elder participation, culture, and alignment of these themes for grassroots community first, community empowered advancement.
