Session Description

IAIA23 was held in Asian region. This session will follow up the outcome of the IAIA Asian session and will discuss the future issues and experiences. Asian is one the economic development centers in the world with a lot of development activities. Within several decades, the landscape of Asian countries has been changing drastically with the loss of nature area. Sustainable development is critically important concept especially for Asian regions. Currently, the advancement of remote sensing technology and GIS and information technology, spatial scale and multiple layer analyses with a variety of environmental, social and economic items received a big attention including biodiversity conservation map, renewable energy potential map, ecosystem service supply potential map, air and water pollution map, risk potential map with appropriate information with AI technology. These visualized spatial assessments can be well utilized for strategic decision and assessment. This session will focus on IA examples which support the strategic decision including SEA and utilized the well-organized spatial scale analysis for achieving sustainable society in Asian regions with focusing on appropriate information sharing/usage. One of the most important points is to share the knowledge and experiences in Asian regions related to this topic. We will welcome to receive good examples in Asian regions.
